MATTUPETTY: (32 Km from Munnar) Situated at a height of 1700m, Mattupetty is famous for its highly specialized dairy farm- the Indo Swiss Live stock Project. Over a 100 Varieties of high yielding cattle are reared here. Visitors are allowed to three of the eleven cattle shed at the firm. Visiting time 9 am to 11 am and 2pm to 3.30pm. The Mattuprtty Lake and Dam, just a short distance from the firm, is a very beautiful picnic spot. The sprawling Kundala tea plantation and the Kundala Lake are the other attractions in the vicinity. |

is 2695m above sea level. Half
the world population of this rare mountain goat, which is fast becoming
extinct, is found here. The
Nilgiri Tahrs are today reduced to small herds, found in the Eravikulam
